Credit Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Credit Controller to join our growing business services team in Southampton. You will manage client accounts, chase overdue payments and support the collections function.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts and monitor credit control activities.
• Make 50‑80 outbound calls daily to chase current and overdue debts.
• Provide clients with updates on account status and credit situations.
• Escalate issues to the Collections Manager as required.
• Meet individual targets and contribute to overall team productivity.
• Undertake ad‑hoc tasks assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Previous experience in credit control or collections.
• Excellent communication and telephone manner.
• Strong ability to work with Microsoft Office and accounting software such as Sage.
