Credit Controller

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Credit Controller to join our fast‑growing entertainment business in Guildford. Working hybrid (three days in the office, two days remote), you will help maintain healthy cash flow by managing customer accounts and chasing overdue payments.

Key responsibilities

• Debt Collection – contact customers by phone and email to secure prompt payment of invoices.
• Account Reconciliation – match payments to invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
• Aged Debt Reporting – produce and maintain reports on overdue balances, escalating where needed.
• Record Keeping – keep customer accounts and payment postings up to date in Xero.
• Query Resolution – work with events, sales and finance teams to settle billing issues.
• Process Improvement – suggest and implement enhancements to credit control procedures.
• Ad Hoc Support – provide assistance to the wider finance team as required.

Required profile

• 1–5 years experience in a junior finance role, credit control or accounts receivable.
• Confident, persistent communicator comfortable with phone and email outreach.
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge and understanding of financial statements.
• Familiarity with accounting software; Xero experience is a plus.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a self‑driven mindset.
