Criminal Law Document Reviewer (French advantageous)

About the role

This temporary, six‑month contract role is based in London (Embankment) with hybrid working – approximately two days per week in the office. You will review criminal law documents, support investigations and must be eligible for Security Clearance. The position is full‑time, 36 hours per week, paid at £15.84 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in team meetings and familiarise yourself with case specifics, demonstrating the ability to understand and assimilate complex information.
• Review large volumes of documents and evidence with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Utilise digital document review platforms and Excel to describe, categorise and manage substantial amounts of data.
• Cross‑reference documents to compile coherent evidence sets and accurately summarise large volumes of information.
• Identify and refer any materials that may be subject to Legal Professional Privilege (LPP) and apply relevant legal concepts such as the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act (CPIA).
• Work independently while contributing to team discussions, case reviews and evidence‑related meetings.

Required profile

• A UK degree (Law preferred; other disciplines such as Business, Economics or similar considered).
• Previous experience conducting document review work and using digital document review platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review large volumes of documentation accurately.
• Ability to understand, retain and apply legal concepts and procedural requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
