Crisis and Recovery Support Worker

About the role

Join a collaborative night‑time crisis prevention service in Liverpool City Centre, working alongside Merseycare, the local police, and other agencies. The role focuses on providing a safe environment for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, aiming to reduce hospital admissions and reliance on emergency services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to service users during crisis situations.
• Apply de‑escalation techniques and promote coping strategies in line with recovery‑focused plans.
• Identify opportunities that help service users gain independence and confidence.
• Work according to each client’s support and risk‑management plan.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health needs.
• Warm, person‑centred approach, able to remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work on a rota, including evenings.
• Clean driving licence and access to a car are advantageous.
