Cross Program Industrial Manager Placement – 12‑Month Internship

About the role

The Cross Program Industrial Manager Placement is a 12‑month internship within Airbus Defence and Space’s telecoms business unit, based in Portsmouth. You will gain exposure to multiple telecom programmes, supporting live projects, bids and supplier coordination while developing a solid understanding of supply‑chain and procurement processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support live telecom projects and ongoing bid activity.
• Collaborate with internal suppliers to deliver equipment to the AIT facility.
• Engage with stakeholders across Portsmouth, Stevenage and Toulouse.
• Assist improvement initiatives to enhance competitiveness and streamline processes.
• Gain practical experience in stock management and master schedule coordination.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Project Management or related field.
• Ability to build and manage relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong time‑management and prioritisation skills.
• Motivation to learn new skills and adapt to change.
