Customer Sales Manager - On-Trade Drinks

About the role

An on-trade drinks professional is sought for a 12-week temporary contract with a fast-growing B2B drinks marketplace in London, with a likely extension. The role combines outbound sales with account development and customer engagement, helping pubs, bars and hospitality venues use a smarter way to buy drinks. It is paid at a day rate equivalent to a £40,000 annual salary.

Key responsibilities

• Win new customers by contacting new outlets by phone, email and other channels and converting prospects into active accounts.
• Drive repeat business by supporting customers from registration through to their first order and establishing regular reordering habits.
• Reactivate lapsed accounts using account and basket data to prioritise opportunities.
• Grow customer spend by encouraging range extension, seasonal purchases and engagement with loyalty and reward tiers.
• Improve the customer journey by identifying registration issues, barriers to ordering and reasons for disengagement.
• Work with Sales, Customer Service, Product and Procurement to resolve issues and improve the customer experience.
• Record call outcomes, track recurring issues and share customer trends with the business.

Required profile

• Essential experience in the on-trade drinks industry with strong knowledge of drinks products and categories.
• Proven ability to engage customers, influence buying decisions and drive sales.
• Confident making outbound calls and following up on opportunities.
• Commercially minded approach to retention, reactivation and account growth.
• Strong organisational skills and confidence using digital platforms in a fast-paced business.
