Customer Service Assistant – Part‑time (Defence)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Customer Service Assistant to join our Defence catering team. Working 20 hours per week across 50.2 weeks a year, you will help deliver a friendly, high‑quality food experience for staff and visitors in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high‑quality food and maintain hygiene standards.
• Create attractive food and counter displays.
• Represent the Defence brand and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register accurately.
• Follow food handling, health and safety, and hygiene regulations.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, can‑do attitude with a passion for customer service.
• Strong team player who thrives under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual and safety‑first mindset.
• Desire to succeed and develop within the role.
• Previous catering or food‑service experience is a plus but not essential.

Required skills

• Cash register operation.
