Customer Service Assistant – Retail

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Customer Service Assistant to join our One Stop store. You will work in a fast‑paced retail environment, delivering friendly service, handling transactions, and helping keep the shop tidy and well‑stocked.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent, natural service to every customer.
• Operate tills, process payments and assist with self‑service checkout issues.
• Stock shelves, replenish inventory and maintain a clean, organised store layout.
• Support online order fulfilment and assist with vending and stock routines.
• Follow health, safety and security procedures, including age‑restricted product policies.
• Cover shift duties in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager when required.
• If the store includes a Post Office, perform daily post‑office tasks after passing required background checks.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about helping customers and representing the brand.
• Willing to work flexible retail hours and follow clock‑in/out procedures.
• Committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for staff and shoppers.
• Ability to handle cash and follow financial security policies.

Required skills

• Basic cash handling and point‑of‑sale operation.
• Ability to use store inventory and replenishment systems.
