Customer Services Stores Operative

About the role

The Customer Services Stores Operative will support the efficient storage and distribution of supplies across Ayrshire & Arran for NHS Ayrshire and Arran. Based at Ayrshire Central Hospital, you will drive a 7.5‑tonne vehicle with a tail lift to deliver orders to multiple sites while ensuring safety and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a 7.5‑tonne vehicle with tail lift to deliver goods to various NHS locations.
• Unload supplies from the National Distribution Service and store them safely.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and adhere to digital tachograph regulations.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including manual handling and PPE use.
• Participate in corporate induction and mandatory training modules.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence (C1 category) with current CPC qualification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Willingness to complete mandatory NHS training and risk‑assessment procedures.
