Cyber Security Analyst – London

About the role

Ghana International Bank plc is seeking a dedicated Cyber Security Analyst to join its London team. You will protect the bank’s IT infrastructure, monitor network activity, and respond to security incidents while working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and detect potential security threats.
• Analyse security data and develop strategies to improve the organisation’s cyber‑defence posture.
• Perform security analysis, secure applications, and ensure compliance with network security protocols.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to mitigate risks and implement preventive measures.
• Respond to incidents, investigate root causes, and document remediation actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Checkpoint Firewall, F5 and WAF/CDN technologies.
• Proficiency with cyber‑security tools such as EDR and SIEM (plus).
• Strong background in application security and cybersecurity methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills for risk assessment and vulnerability identification.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM or equivalent) are advantageous.
• Knowledge of financial‑services regulations is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot, take ownership of issues and work as a positive, high‑value team player.
