Cyber Security Architect

About the role

Leidos is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Architect to design and assure robust security architectures for its Civil & Devolved Government and Energy divisions in the UK. The role focuses on delivering simple, effective security solutions that meet customer expectations while supporting cloud‑centric programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and assurance of cybersecurity architectures for programme data, systems and networks.
• Provide expert guidance on security architecture and design patterns for cloud (AWS, Azure, Oracle) and hybrid environments.
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modelling and develop mitigation strategies for new and existing solutions.
• Embed appropriate security controls into architectural designs to protect data and infrastructure.
• Produce and maintain architectural documentation, reporting and stakeholder communications.
• Integrate the existing Security Architecture Framework and assurance approach into delivery.

Required profile

• Based in the UK with SC Clearance or higher (additional clearances may be required).
• Proven experience designing secure architectures in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Strong analytical, scheduling and prioritisation skills in an agile setting.
• Ability to collaborate with multi‑disciplinary cyber teams and engage with customers and third parties.
