Data Literacy Capability Coach (DP3/DL3)

About the role

The Data Literacy Capability Coach (DP3/DL3) helps learners build confidence in using data to inform decisions, generate insight, and drive business impact. You will coach, mentor and teach learners on Corndel’s Level 3 data technician programmes, guiding them from data awareness to practical application.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and mentor learners through Level 3 data technician programmes, building trusted relationships.
• Deliver engaging one‑to‑one sessions and workshops that make data concepts accessible, relevant and practical.
• Support learners in data preparation, analysis, visualisation and interpretation using Excel, Power Query and Power BI.
• Guide learners through programme milestones, assessments and portfolio development to ensure timely, high‑quality completion.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with data in a professional context.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor or teach adult learners.
• Strong communication skills to explain data concepts clearly to varied confidence levels.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, psychologically safe learning environment.

Required skills

• Excel – formulas, pivot tables, data validation and analysis techniques.
• Power Query for data cleansing, importing and automation.
• Power BI (or similar) for analysis and intuitive visualisations.
• Microsoft Teams, Word and PowerPoint for communication and learning support.
• Power Pivot and Power Automate (desirable).
• Google Suite – Sheets, Docs, Slides and Looker (desirable).
• Miro and digital whiteboard tools (desirable).
• AI tools to support data‑driven insights (desirable).
