Data Project Management Officer

About the role

FDM Group is seeking a Data Project Management Officer to support a financial services client in Glasgow. This 6‑12 month contract role combines project coordination with data visualisation, helping the client monitor performance and drive efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Support project managers with planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Track project metrics such as timelines, budgets and risks.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports and meeting minutes.
• Develop and enforce PMO policies, standards and methodologies.
• Create and deliver project status dashboards using Power BI.
• Automate reporting processes to improve data accuracy.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide financial tracking, budgeting and forecasting.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the PMO.
• Lead Agile ceremonies and maintain Agile artefacts (sprint boards, story maps, dashboards).

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in a PMO or project coordination role.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience delivering complex global projects in the financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Familiarity with risk and issue management frameworks.
• Relevant certifications (CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
