Data Scientist / AI Engineer – Machine Learning, GenAI, NLP

About the role

We are seeking Data Scientists and AI Engineers to join a global technology and consulting leader. The role is based on‑site in Cheltenham and involves delivering AI‑driven solutions for public and private sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and scale machine‑learning, GenAI, computer‑vision and NLP models.
• Collaborate with clients to understand challenges, define solution architecture and communicate value.
• Lead Agile delivery teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Participate in RFI/RFP processes, bid preparation and client presentations.
• Publish whitepapers and represent the organisation at industry conferences.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
• Proven experience leading or contributing to AI projects across public and private sectors.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Cheltenham and hold an active enhanced DV (West) clearance.

Required skills

• Machine learning, GenAI, NLP, deep learning, graph analytics, time‑series analysis.
• Solution architecture and software engineering.
• Data‑science platforms such as Databricks and AzureML.
• Cloud services: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• CI/CD pipelines and related tooling.
