Data Solutions Architect – SC Clearance Required

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Solutions Architect to join a high‑profile programme delivering complex data and analytics capabilities in a secure, regulated environment. The role is a 6‑month contract based in London, requiring three days per week onsite and an active SC clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end data solutions that meet business, technical, security and operational requirements.
• Produce high‑quality architecture artefacts such as HLDs, LLDs, decision records and options assessments.
• Define current‑state, target‑state and transition architectures with phased delivery roadmaps.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure and supportable.
• Provide architectural leadership throughout delivery and support technical teams during implementation.
• Participate in design reviews, governance forums and architectural assurance activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Solutions Architect, Technical Architect or similar role.
• Strong background designing modern cloud‑based data and analytics platforms.
• Experience working in highly regulated, security‑focused enterprise environments.
• Ability to translate functional and non‑functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric (or similar cloud data platforms).
• Spark‑based distributed data processing.
• Enterprise integration patterns – APIs, event‑driven architectures, service‑based solutions.
• Platform engineering, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Cloud landing zones, identity and access management, secure connectivity.
