Day Concierge - Residential Developments (Birmingham)

About the role

A Day Concierge is needed to work in residential developments in the heart of Birmingham (B5). You will be the first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors, professional in manner and appearance, and available to help anyone with enquiries. The role is permanent, with a 4-on-4-off pattern (07:00-19:00) and pay of up to £27,759 per year (£12.71 per hour).

Key responsibilities

• Meet and greet residents and answer enquiries by telephone or at the desk.
• Assist residents, guests and visitors when required.
• Ensure the security of residents and the building, including manning CCTV and helping with car parking.
• Be courteous to residents, guests, suppliers, tradesmen and the public.
• Communicate with leaseholders and managing agents.
• Patrol the building regularly and report faults or security breaches to the Building Manager.
• Perform weekly fire alarm, lift alarm and other regulatory tests, report issues to the Property Manager and file records.
• Report security, health and safety issues, incidents and complaints, and act appropriately in emergencies.
• Issue keys only to authorised personnel, recording sign-in and sign-out.
• Handle deliveries at the reception, receive and safely keep parcels and registered mail, and notify residents of deliveries.
• Maintain accurate resident records on the Buildinglink platform.

Required profile

• Previous residential or other property experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Significant customer service experience.
• Experience managing contractors and building works in a busy development.
• Knowledge of general fire, health and safety and security.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.
