Night Concierge / Security Officer

About the role

A permanent Night Concierge / Security Officer is needed for a residential development in Greenwich (SE10) with 636 private apartments. The concierge is the first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors, working alongside the Building Manager. The post covers the security desk, CCTV and building security, and reporting issues to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and greet residents, visitors and contractors courteously and professionally.
• Act as first point of call for telephone, intercom, email and face-to-face enquiries.
• Receive and log parcels and packages, and hand them over to residents or authorised third parties with ID or written authority.
• Log resident instructions on the concierge database and file verbal instructions in writing.
• Register new residents, enter their details and send welcome letters with site procedures.
• Programme door entry fobs and key cards, and set up intercom telephone numbers.
• Forward complaints and lease breaches to the Building Manager and arrange contractor access.
• Perform end-of-shift parcel and key audits, and weekly fire alarm, lift alarm and other regulatory tests.
• Be familiar with fire activation and evacuation procedures, and patrol the site, reporting issues and fixing minor health and safety risks.
• Complete handover notes and other requests from the Account Manager or Managing Agent.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' residential concierge experience at a luxury establishment.
• Strong security background; SIA licence is desirable.
• Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication, and ability to build trusting relationships.

What we offer

• Salary of up to £31,559 per annum (£14.45 per hour).
• Hours: 4 days on, 4 days off, 19:00 to 07:00.
