DCO Application Lead

About the role

We are looking for a DCO Application Lead to drive the consenting and application process for the Morven Hawthorn Pit Grid Connection Project. This role sits at the heart of our offshore wind development team, ensuring that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met while supporting the delivery of a world‑class renewable energy asset.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation and delivery of the Preliminary Environmental Information Report (PEIR) and all related application and examination documents.
• Lead the submission, examination and post‑submission management of the Development Consent Order (DCO) and other relevant consents.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the Planning Inspectorate (PINS) case team, handling all procedural communications and information requests.
• Maintain compliance with Planning Inspectorate, DCO, Scottish Marine Licence and other statutory procedures, including production of programme documents and issue trackers.
• Develop and implement quality‑assurance processes for all submission and examination documentation.
• Manage consultation reports, stakeholder coordination, hearings and site‑visit activities.
• Keep detailed action logs, change logs, document registers and issue registers up to date.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing DCO or similar large‑scale consenting processes for infrastructure or energy projects.
• Strong understanding of UK planning and marine licensing regimes.
• Excellent coordination skills with legal advisors, consultants and internal project teams.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality and governance standards.
