Deburrer / Operator – Rotating Shifts

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Deburrer/Operator to join our manufacturing team in Poole, Dorset. The role focuses on precision deburring of metal components, ensuring they meet exact engineering specifications while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision deburring using a range of tools and techniques.
• Inspect components under magnification to verify quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to identify critical features.
• Select and operate appropriate inspection equipment.
• Change inserts, adjust machine offsets, and fit fixtures as required.
• Hand‑engrave traceable numbers on parts.
• Shot‑blast components for cleaning and preparation.
• Maintain clean, organised work areas and adhere to Lean principles.
• Document quality checks and complete tool sheets/SOPs.
• Collaborate with Production Engineers on CI projects and assist in training colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in deburring intricate metal features.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and apply engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Positive attitude and ability to work calmly under pressure.
