Dental Receptionist – Front‑Office Role

About the role

We are looking for a Dental Receptionist to join the friendly team at Bupa Dental Care in Witham. The role is full‑time (40 hours per week) and involves being the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients in person and over the phone with a warm, professional manner.
• Manage appointment bookings, cancellations and rescheduling using the practice’s IT system.
• Maintain accurate patient records and handle confidential information securely.
• Support the clinical team with day‑to‑day administrative tasks and handovers.
• Explain treatment options, payment methods and insurance or NHS coverage to patients.
• Address patient enquiries, concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism.

Required profile

• Friendly, professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience in a customer‑service or administrative role, preferably in a dental or healthcare setting.
• Ability to thrive in a busy environment and work collaboratively with a supportive team.
• Proactive, flexible and willing to assist wherever needed.

Required skills

• Experience using IT systems for scheduling and record‑keeping.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
