Depot Manager – Exeter

About the role

We are looking for a Depot Manager to lead a key operational site in Exeter. The role involves full ownership of day‑to‑day depot activities, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and delivery of financial and service targets in a fast‑paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall site performance across operations, finance and service delivery.
• Own budgeting, P&L responsibility and financial results.
• Manage and develop a multi‑shift workforce, including workforce planning and resource allocation.
• Maintain health & safety and regulatory compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
• Ensure high levels of customer service and contract delivery.
• Support commercial growth initiatives and collaborate with support functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, transport or service‑focused environments.
• Strong background in P&L management and operational leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi‑shift teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Track record of delivering operational improvements and change.

Required skills

• Lean or continuous improvement methodologies (desirable).
