Deputy General Manager (Clinical) – Leonard Lodge Care Home

About the role

As the Clinical Deputy Manager at Leonard Lodge care home, you will support the delivery of high‑quality care and work closely with the General Manager. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure compliance with standards and help residents enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in day‑to‑day operations and act on their behalf when absent.
• Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team to deliver resident‑centred care.
• Monitor care standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice and regulatory checks.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical outcomes and meet organisational goals.
• Oversee safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration.
• Teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification.
• Experience caring for residents with diverse health needs.
• Proven track record in managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
• HR experience, knowledge of sales and marketing, and budget management.
• Experience supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
• Compassionate, resilient and committed to delivering quality care.
