Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in a children’s residential home in South East London. This permanent, full‑time position offers the chance to develop leadership skills while making a real difference to young people’s lives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the home.
• Lead, motivate and supervise the staff team.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and care for children and young people.
• Conduct staff supervision and support professional development.
• Deputise for the Manager during absences.
• Promote positive outcomes for children and young people.

Required profile

• Experience working in a children’s residential setting.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices.
• Passion for achieving positive outcomes for young people.
• Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification (desirable).
