Deputy Manager

About the role

Topps Tiles, the UK’s leading tile retailer, is looking for a Deputy Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering excellent customer service and strong commercial performance. This full‑time, 30‑hour per week role is based in Longwell Green and involves both retail and trade responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in leading, motivating and developing the store team.
• Drive sales, profit and operational excellence across both retail and trade segments.
• Build and maintain relationships with trade customers, increasing local market share.
• Use the Topps Sales Framework to identify customer needs and recommend suitable products.
• Coach staff to recognise sales opportunities and achieve targets.
• Maintain high store standards and ensure a consistent, outstanding customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven retail experience with a track record of meeting sales and profit targets.
• Strong communication and motivational skills.
• Ability to build relationships with trade customers.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends.
