Design & Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a creative, hands‑on Design & Development Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Woking. You will own projects from concept through to production, supporting the design, development and testing of innovative products across the full product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage design projects from initial concept to final approval.
• Create 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Develop prototypes and assist with product testing activities.
• Produce technical documentation, bills of materials and design records.
• Provide technical support to production, sales and purchasing teams.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.
• Visit customer sites when required to gather project information.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Design Engineer, Development Engineer or Product Design role.
• Proficient with Autodesk Inventor or comparable 3D CAD software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
