Design Manager - High End Fit Out Projects

About the role

A recruiter is working with a long-term client that has built strong relationships with established London-based companies and a steady pipeline of high-end workplace and commercial fit-out projects. The client is looking to grow its team by appointing a Design Manager. The role is predominantly site-based across London, with about one day per week in the Surrey office.

Key responsibilities

• Design management and technical coordination of high-end workplace and commercial fit-out projects
• Work closely with clients, contractors, consultants and wider project teams
• Take ownership of projects and develop your career within Design Management

Required profile

• Strong UK high-end workplace and commercial fit-out experience
• Previous experience in Design Management, technical coordination or a similar role
• Good understanding of construction, detailing and technical delivery
• Confidence dealing with clients, contractors and consultants
• Proactive approach, able to work independently
• Genuine interest in developing within Design Management; suits an architect, architectural technologist, architectural technician or an existing Design Manager

Required skills

• Revit experience is beneficial but not essential
• Strong communication and organisational skills
