Design & Technology Supply Teacher – Rochdale & Oldham

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified Design & Technology supply teachers for secondary schools in Rochdale and Oldham. The placements start in September 2026 and can be short‑term or long‑term, offering flexibility for full‑time, part‑time or occasional assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on Design & Technology lessons covering CAD/CAM, resistant materials, product design and engineering topics.
• Prepare workshop spaces, tools and materials for practical sessions.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe and organised learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or qualified teacher learning and skills (QTLS).
• Enhanced DBS disclosure (support available).
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Full CV with education and employment history.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software.
• Experience with resistant materials, carpentry, soldering and milling.
• Ability to design and deliver product design and engineering lessons.
