About the role

We are seeking a passionate Design Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Guildford. You will inspire students to develop practical design skills, creativity and confidence through hands‑on projects and innovative lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Design Technology curriculum to students of varying abilities.
• Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that foster problem‑solving and innovation.
• Guide students through projects in product design, resistant materials and CAD/CAM.
• Assess student progress and support them in achieving academic goals.
• Collaborate with the Design Technology department and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Design Technology in a secondary school setting.
• Strong communication, organisation and classroom management abilities.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
