Desktop Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Desktop Developer to join our hybrid team in Greater London. You will work on our cross‑platform desktop application built with Rust and Tauri, delivering secure and performant client‑side functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and extend the desktop application using Rust and a modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontend.
• Bridge native Rust logic with reactive UI components via Tauri.
• Implement real‑time features using WebSocket and integrate APIs through GraphQL.
• Ensure data persistence with Diesel or equivalent Rust ORM libraries.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product teams to deliver a seamless user experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience building client‑side application logic in Rust.
• Hands‑on experience with Tauri for desktop development.
• Strong TypeScript skills and familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Svelte).
• Understanding of security best practices for desktop applications.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
