Desktop Support Engineer – Bournemouth

About the role

BlupaceTech is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join its Bournemouth team. You will provide second‑level technical support for a range of desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide second‑level contact and problem resolution for end‑user incidents.
• Collaborate with vendors to remediate complex AV issues.
• Maintain accurate ticket updates and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows (XP, 7, 8.1, 10) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Offer basic support for macOS devices.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot printers and other hardware.
• Perform preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of IT experience in a support environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 7‑10, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects and Office 365.
• Experience with PC hardware installation, troubleshooting and enterprise anti‑virus solutions.
• Familiarity with help‑desk ticketing systems and mobile device management for iOS and Android.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work off‑hours and weekends when required.
