About the role
Bill Gosling Outsourcing Limited is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join its Glasgow office. You will provide day‑to‑day technical assistance to end users, ensuring that hardware and software operate smoothly and align with business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot laptops, desktops and peripheral devices on‑site and remotely.
- Support a range of operating systems including Windows, Unix and Linux.
- Handle hardware replacements, removals and upgrades.
- Collaborate with vendor technical support desks and allied services following company procedures.
- Assist the Helpdesk team with secure deployment of workstations, portable devices, keyboards, mice, monitors and telephony equipment.
- Provide support across multiple channels such as voice, SMS and chat.
Required profile
- Enthusiastic and driven individual with a passion for delivering reliable IT support.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues and external vendors.
