Despatch Operative – Warehouse Dispatch Role

About the role

We are seeking a Despatch Operative to join a busy warehouse team in Swindon on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. This full‑time position works 9:30 am‑6:00 pm Monday‑Thursday and 8:30 am‑5:00 pm Friday, offering a salary dependent on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain export compliance knowledge and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
• Communicate with the sales team to resolve customer order queries.
• Apply FIFO and batch traceability rules throughout the dispatch process.
• Monitor and achieve daily dispatch KPIs.
• Perform picking and packing duties efficiently.
• Utilise Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication.
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic and ability to work well within a team.
• High numeracy and literacy levels.
• Previous experience in a complex picking system and dispatch environment.
• Comfortable using PC and Microsoft Office tools.
