Development Solutions Lead (Hands-Off, CoPilot, .Net)

About the role

You will partner with the Head of IT to shape the development strategy of a fast‑growing, purpose‑driven organisation undergoing a major technology transformation. This hands‑off, senior position focuses on advisory work, stakeholder engagement and setting the technical direction without direct people management.

Key responsibilities

• Review the current technical estate and advise on future architecture and modernization pathways.
• Drive automation initiatives, including the rollout of GitHub and Microsoft CoPilot.
• Collaborate with third‑party suppliers to assess and evolve a bespoke .Net Core funeral management system.
• Lead integration projects involving Dynamics 365, Power Platform and other Microsoft tools.
• Design and implement API solutions for a new payroll system.
• Establish development standards, governance frameworks and best‑practice SDLC processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a .Net architect or consultant with a hands‑off advisory focus.
• Strong communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non‑technical senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technology strategy and supplier relationships.
