DevOps Engineer – Cloud & CI/CD

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a fast‑growing, data‑driven technology organisation. In this hands‑on role you will drive automation, build cloud‑native platforms and enable faster, reliable software delivery across the engineering function.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub or GitLab.
• Develop automated deployment processes to ensure smooth releases.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes to manage and scale containerised applications.
• Monitor system performance with CloudWatch, Prometheus or similar tools.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure issues, performance bottlenecks and deployment challenges.
• Support testing automation and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to meet build, release and infrastructure requirements.
• Contribute to infrastructure optimisation, scalability and cost‑efficiency.
• Promote best practices for security, high availability and disaster recovery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.
• Strong background with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Ability to script in Python, Bash or similar languages.
• Good understanding of cloud architecture, distributed systems and monitoring tools.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
