DevOps Engineer – FinTech – £125k + Bonus

About the role

We are looking for a highly capable Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join a rapidly scaling exchange and trading technology firm in London. You will play a key role in modernising and automating infrastructure across AWS, GCP and on‑prem Linux environments.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage multi‑account cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Drive automation across cloud and on‑prem platforms with Ansible, Python and Bash.
• Support Linux engineering, deployment pipelines and large‑scale systems operations.
• Collaborate with development teams to productionise applications and services.
• Manage and improve CI/CD tooling and deployment workflows.
• Support containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes (ECS/ECR or similar).
• Contribute to infrastructure reliability, scalability and capacity planning.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and operational standards.

Required profile

• Strong experience designing and operating hybrid cloud environments (AWS and GCP) in high‑availability or low‑latency settings.
• Advanced DevOps and automation background with solid Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS or similar).
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python and Bash.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling and Git‑based workflows.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing).
• Experience with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/ECR.
• Exposure to databases like MySQL, Elasticsearch or similar technologies.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative engineering mindset.
