DevOps Engineer

About the role

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is hiring a DevOps Engineer in Nottingham to join a team responsible for the full CI/CD pipeline that sits in the critical path of client-impacting product delivery in the cloud. The team designs, develops, tests and supports the automation software, test cases and environments, working closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects and Feed Developers in a global team.

Key responsibilities

• Define, develop, test and maintain a full CI/CD pipeline focused on cloud deployments, working with global development and product teams
• Take full ownership of solutions and drive them through to completion
• Improve testing and deployment of client products through automation
• Propose and drive enhancements to improve pipeline capabilities
• Keep up with emerging technology and take part in regular peer reviews
• Provide third-level support to stakeholder issues
• Work within the defined engineering methodology based on agile principles and tools

Required profile

• Senior Associate career stage
• Able to balance client issue investigation with day-to-day development work
• Comfortable working in a global setting and communicating clearly in writing and orally
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and diagnostics, and ability to test and debug code with a focus on test-driven development

Required skills

• Cloud platforms, including AWS and Microsoft Azure
• Python for scripting, automation and application development
• Version control (e.g. Git) and Linux with Bash scripting
• REST and GraphQL APIs, and containerization with Docker
• NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins
