DevOps Engineer – Monitor Platform

About the role

Redgate is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its central DevOps function, initially focusing on the Redgate Monitor product. The role involves improving delivery pipelines, reducing operational toil, and building scalable platforms that enable engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Monitor engineering, Technical Operations, Security and Support to enhance CI/CD, build and release processes, and infrastructure automation.
• Design, implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS core services, including IAM and security best practices.
• Develop robust packaging, upgrade paths and release processes for the on‑premises Monitor product.
• Provide operational visibility through metrics, logging, alerting and dashboards to drive faster diagnosis and decision‑making.
• Share DevOps practices across product areas, align standards and offer coverage for other teams.
• Coach and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Commercial experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or a closely related role with a proven track record of improving production delivery systems.
• Strong background in designing, operating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and build systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform) and AWS core services.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell or C#.
• Ability to implement and use metrics, logging, alerting and dashboards for operational insight.
• Excellent communication skills to work with engineers, operations, security and support stakeholders.

What we offer

• Salary between £70,000 and £80,000 per year.
