DevSecOps Engineer

About the role

Sixworks is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to design, build and deliver secure digital solutions for defence and national security missions. The role involves working in highly secure environments alongside engineers, architects and delivery specialists to enable faster, safer decision‑making for critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Experimentation, Production and Development teams to design, develop and maintain software solutions.
• Translate regulatory and internal security standards into automated code for deployments in Azure, VCF and Hyper‑V environments.
• Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Utilise containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes to streamline deployment processes and ensure consistency across environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment.
• Develop custom code supporting Data‑Centric Interoperability (Zero Trust/Data‑Centric Security) workloads following software engineering best practices.
• Provide automation and orchestration support across Apps, Platform and Workload pillars.
• Complete development activities as directed by pillar leads.
• Participate in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools and best practices in software development.
