About the role
The DfMA Designer will join WSP’s digital innovation team in London, working on cutting‑edge Design for Manufacturing and Assembly projects across multiple sectors. You will help shape how buildings are designed, fabricated and assembled by creating repeatable platform solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop sub‑assembly strategies and maintain libraries of sub‑assemblies using Inventor and other manufacturing tools.
- Collaborate with clients, supply‑chain partners and internal WSP engineers, including MMC and sustainability specialists.
- Define and implement platform‑based design approaches at programme level, leveraging PLM systems and configurators.
- Support the creation of digital content that enables off‑site manufacturing and repeatable construction processes.
Required profile
- Degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
- Membership of a professional institute such as RIBA or CIAT.
- Proven experience delivering complex technical solutions and coordinating off‑site manufacturing across diverse sectors.
- Understanding of how emerging technologies can transform building delivery.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor (preferred but not essential).
