Digital Communications Co-ordinator

About the role

The Faraday Institution is seeking a tech‑savvy Digital Communications Co‑ordinator to lead and grow its digital presence. Based at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, you will support the Engagement, Education, Events and other teams, shaping how research, commercialisation, training and policy initiatives are communicated online.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage audience‑focused content across digital channels, especially LinkedIn and the website.
• Lead social media planning and delivery, supporting colleagues and research teams to engage effectively online.
• Support the planning, promotion, delivery and technical aspects of webinars and other training events, both online and in‑person.
• Monitor and analyse digital performance, using insights to improve content, campaigns and audience reach.
• Maintain and develop website content on WordPress, ensuring it stays current, accessible and aligned with organisational priorities.
• Develop compelling visual stories that communicate the impact of Faraday research and activities.
• Manage email communications and distribution lists using HubSpot.
• Stay up‑to‑date with digital trends and best practices to continuously improve the approach.

Required profile

• Early‑stage science communications professional with a proactive, resilient attitude.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple projects.
• Strong interest in energy storage research and its societal impact.
