Digital Data Analyst

About the role

A fast-growing digital business in Manchester is looking for a Data Analyst to join its team. The role uses Google Analytics and marketing data to analyse a client's business and website, identifying issues and proposing solutions that improve the customer experience and drive conversions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse a client's business and website using Google Analytics and marketing data
• Identify problems and propose solutions aligned with the client's business strategy to improve customer experience and conversion
• Evaluate information from multiple sources and understand user behaviour to find problems and offer solutions
• Produce proactive test scenario models to support change in line with the client's strategy
• Analyse actual performance against test scenarios to determine future outcomes

Required profile

• Technical, business analysis or marketing background
• Degree in a computer-led, media-based, scientific or numerical subject (e.g. Digital Media, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics); Science, Marketing or Business degrees also suitable
• Data-driven, combining analytical approach with a strategic mindset
• Excellent attention to detail and interest in marketing, advertising or user psychology

Required skills

• Google Analytics and Google Tags
• Quantitative and/or qualitative research, preferably in a business analysis or web marketing context
• Advanced MS Excel
• HTML and JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery
• SQL
