Digital Quality & Continuous Improvement Lead

About the role

The Digital Quality & Continuous Improvement Lead will drive the adoption and scaling of digital tools, analytics, automation and AI‑enabled solutions within Hitachi Energy’s Grid Integration (GI) Business Unit. Reporting to the QCI function, you will bridge business stakeholders, process owners and technology teams to improve quality performance, process consistency and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the corporate QCI digital strategy into a GI‑specific roadmap aligned with business priorities and customer expectations.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities for workflow digitisation, automation, process monitoring and data‑driven decision‑making across GI.
• Lead the implementation and lifecycle management of digital platforms such as audit management systems, SAP Quality Module, RCA tools, mobile quality apps and performance dashboards.
• Ensure seamless integration of digital solutions with existing GI processes, collaborating with IT, project management and process owners.
• Create training materials, communications and coaching programmes to build digital literacy and adoption within QCI teams.
• Develop analytics frameworks, KPIs and data‑quality processes to deliver actionable insights for GI leadership.
• Pilot and scale advanced technologies including AI‑enabled support, predictive analytics and smart quality workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, IT, Data Analytics or a related field.
• Proven experience in Quality & Continuous Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, RCA, audits).
• Strong understanding of digital tools, analytics platforms, automation and data governance.
• Experience in Grid Integration, Power Systems, EPC or similar technical environments.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP 4HANA.
• Excellent stakeholder management, cross‑functional collaboration and change‑leadership abilities.
