Director of FP&A

About the role

Axon Moore is partnering with a high‑growth, private‑equity‑backed business to hire a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead the FP&A function and prepare the company for a successful exit, providing strategic insight and commercial challenge.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing FP&A team.
• Own budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning processes.
• Deliver insightful analysis to support commercial and strategic decision‑making.
• Build board‑quality reporting and KPI dashboards for investors and the executive team.
• Improve forecasting accuracy, reporting capability and financial controls.
• Partner with operational and commercial leaders to identify value‑creation opportunities.
• Support lender, investor and due‑diligence requirements throughout the exit process.
• Develop robust financial models, scenario planning and valuation analysis.
• Play a central role in preparing the business for a private‑equity exit.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Proven experience as a Head or Director of FP&A or in a senior commercial finance role.
• Experience in a private‑equity‑backed, fast‑paced or transformational environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders and investors.
• Exposure to transaction support, refinancing, acquisitions or exit readiness is highly advantageous.
