Director of Inclusion

About the role

The Director of Inclusion will lead the college’s inclusive strategy, ensuring every learner can access high‑quality education regardless of background or need. This senior position works across campuses to embed equality, diversity and belonging into all aspects of teaching, learning and support services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the college’s inclusion agenda, embedding EDI principles across all campuses and curriculum areas.
• Lead and manage Additional Learning Support, SEND provision, safeguarding, wellbeing and learner support services.
• Develop and implement the college’s Inclusion Strategy, ensuring statutory compliance and best‑practice funding use.
• Partner with curriculum leaders to remove barriers to participation, achievement and progression.
• Oversee safeguarding arrangements and promote a strong culture of learner safety and positive mental health.
• Ensure timely, high‑quality interventions for learners with additional needs and monitor outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with external agencies, professional bodies and community organisations.

Required profile

• Passionate about inclusion, belonging and improving life chances for learners.
• Proven track record of improving outcomes for learners with SEND or additional needs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver high‑quality inclusive practice.
• Commitment to high expectations and positive destinations for all learners.
