Director of Outsourcing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Outsourcing Director to join a fast‑growing accountancy and advisory firm in Guildford. In this senior leadership position you will act as a trusted adviser to SME and owner‑managed clients, helping them make strategic financial decisions and shaping the future of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior strategic advice to SME and owner‑managed business clients.
• Lead board‑level meetings and deliver insightful financial analysis.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and performance reporting.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial controls and operational efficiency.
• Support clients through periods of growth, transformation and change.
• Collaborate closely with specialist tax, audit and payroll teams.
• Develop and mentor finance teams both internally and within client organisations.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Previous Director‑level experience within practice or outsourced finance.
• Strong background advising SMEs and owner‑managed businesses.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence strategic decision‑making.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
• Exposure to growth businesses, scale‑ups or transformation projects is advantageous.

• Salary from £75,000 depending on experience.
