Director – Private Credit & Leveraged Finance

About the role

The firm is a sponsor‑backed debt provider seeking a Director to lead its private credit and leveraged finance activities from a Northern UK base, primarily in Manchester. Reporting to senior investment leadership, the role will build and manage a regional origination platform across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional coverage strategy for private credit, direct lending and leveraged finance opportunities in Northern England.
• Originate new transactions, conduct full credit due‑diligence, negotiate terms and close facilities.
• Maintain and grow relationships with introducers, sponsors and other ecosystem partners.
• Oversee loan administration and portfolio management post‑close.
• Contribute to the design and launch of a thesis‑focused fund as part of the firm’s broader UK growth plan.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with a proven track record of originating and executing private debt transactions.
• Established network of contacts within the UK mid‑market credit market.
• Ability to manage deals end‑to‑end, from sourcing through post‑close monitoring.
• Comfortable working autonomously and leading a regional team.
• Fundraising experience is a plus but not essential.
