Driver & Loader – Waste Collections & Clearances

About the role

Join a leading waste and recycling company as a Driver & Loader, responsible for collecting and clearing various waste streams across the South East. You will work independently on the road, using a modern company van that you can keep at home, and enjoy a mix of driving and physical loading tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service on every job.
• Drive, maintain, and keep the company vehicle clean and presentable.
• Lift and load different waste streams into the van safely.
• Use a handheld PDA to receive jobs and complete digital worksheets.
• Communicate clearly with the office team and provide accurate updates.
• Perform daily vehicle walk‑around checks and report any defects promptly.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence with no major endorsements.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and comfortable with physical work.
• Safe place to park the company vehicle overnight.
• Willingness to learn; previous driving or waste experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Handheld PDA operation for job allocation and reporting.
