Drivers Mate & Warehouse Operative – Reading

About the role

Join a dynamic team delivering outdoor furniture across Reading and supporting warehouse operations. This full‑time, temporary position offers varied daily tasks, from assisting drivers on the road to handling stock in the warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Assist drivers with loading, unloading and delivering outdoor furniture to customers.
• Handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic assembly and DIY tasks using hand tools.
• Support warehouse activities when not on delivery routes, including stock organization and order preparation.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service during deliveries.

Required profile

• Positive, ‘can‑do’ attitude with flexibility to switch between driving‑mate and warehouse duties.
• Ability to work 10‑hour shifts, Monday‑Friday, starting at 7 am.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or as a driver’s mate is preferred but not mandatory.
• Good communication skills and a focus on customer satisfaction.

Required skills

• Basic DIY and hand‑tool handling.
