Early Careers & Talent Development Manager

About the role
This senior HR position leads the early‑careers and talent development function for a professional services organisation. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding employees through their development journey while partnering with senior leaders to ensure high‑impact people programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for an allocated early‑careers cohort, providing guidance, performance discussions and progression support.
- Coordinate talent allocation, workforce planning and onboarding activities with business leaders.
- Design and deliver learning programmes, workshops, presentations and development sessions.
- Support international and client‑secondment programmes.
- Partner with HR colleagues and senior stakeholders on employee‑relations matters and broader people initiatives.
- Manage relationships with external training providers and supplier partnerships.
- Analyse programme trends, produce insights and contribute to strategic talent, learning, inclusion and employee‑experience projects.
Required profile
- Experience in HR, early‑careers, talent development or HR business partnering, preferably within a legal or professional‑services environment.
- Proven track record managing structured graduate or early‑career programmes.
- Strong stakeholder‑management skills with the confidence to influence senior leaders.
- Collaborative, relationship‑driven approach and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with day‑to‑day operational delivery.
- High level of professionalism, discretion and emotional intelligence.
- Broad HR knowledge; employee‑relations experience is advantageous.
- Relevant CIPD qualification or equivalent experience (beneficial but not essential).
