Ecologist – Environmental Consultancy (Basingstoke)

About the role

Join a leading multi‑disciplinary design, engineering and environmental consultancy as an Ecologist in Basingstoke. You will work on major infrastructure and development projects, supporting ecological surveys, reporting and advice throughout planning and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ecological surveys and produce technical reports.
• Provide ecological advice and develop biodiversity mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with UK environmental legislation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to business growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology or related field.
• Experience undertaking ecological surveys and writing technical reports.
• Good knowledge of UK environmental legislation and best practice.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Strong communication and report‑writing skills.
• Residence within reasonable commuting distance to Basingstoke office.
